The Star Industries Self-Dumping Forklift Hopper collects waste at ground level and tips its own load out at the skip without anyone climbing or shovelling. Five sizes from a half to two and a half cubic yards, with a rope release the operator can pull from the seat.

Shipping & Freight

Delivery is available to the Lower 48 only; no shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territories. Shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000.01 to $10,000: $347
  • Orders $10,000.01 and over: $517

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Liftgate service is required if your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling and extend delivery time.

Lead times vary by product, manufacturer availability, and selected options. Some configured, special-order, or non-stock items require additional processing time before they ship.

The Star Industries Self-Dumping Forklift Hopper is the bin a crew fills on the floor and empties without touching. The operator lifts it to the skip, pulls the release, and the shell rocks forward and tips its own load, which turns a two-person job into a one-person one and keeps a labourer off the top of a container.

The shell is quarter inch and three sixteenths steel plate rather than folded sheet, and it rides on a rocker base so the tipping motion is controlled rather than a drop. A safety lock holds the shell level in transit and has to be disengaged deliberately before anything moves, and the release works either from a rope at ground level or from a handle at the back of the hopper. Casters and lifting eyes are separate options, and adding casters lowers the rated load because the hopper then carries its own weight on wheels. This is for demolition, strip-out and site-clearance crews handling concrete, plaster, brick and construction debris day after day.

Selection Notes

  • The 1/2 cu yd size is rated to 4,000 lb; the other four are rated to 6,000 lb

  • The hopper is not discharged while suspended from a crane
