The Baumalight MS1472 runs an 84 in path and a 72 in rotor 19.3 in in diameter carrying both P11000 planer and R9000 ripper teeth on the one drum. It weighs 3,115 lb, cuts to 2 in below grade, is sized for carriers from 7,500 lb, and is published only with the two-speed motor.

Delivery is available to the Lower 48 only; no shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territories. Shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000.01 to $10,000: $347
  • Orders $10,000.01 and over: $517

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Liftgate service is required if your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling and extend delivery time.

Lead times vary by product, manufacturer availability, and selected options. Some configured, special-order, or non-stock items require additional processing time before they ship.

The MS1472's rotor is the reason to choose it. An 84 in path over a 72 in drum 19.3 in in diameter, running both tooth types at once: P11000 planer teeth in the centre section where the operator takes trees down and can watch for stones, and R9000 ripper teeth toward the sides where stones are harder to see and impacts are more likely.

Baumalight describes this dual-tooth arrangement as the first of its kind, and the intent is plain enough: efficient cutting where the work is deliberate, impact durability where it is not. The head carries a heavy duty frame, replaceable AR400 wear liners, bolt-in liner teeth and a chain curtain, cuts to 2 in below grade, and is offered only with the two-speed motor.

Selection Notes

  • Match the head to the carrier by weight first: this model is charted against a minimum carrier weight of 7,500 lb.
  • Case drain is critical on this model. Confirm the carrier has one before ordering.
  • Hydraulic couplers are not supplied with this model and are ordered separately, because the face varies by carrier.
  • The rotor runs both tooth types at once, P11000 planer teeth through the centre and R9000 ripper teeth toward the sides. Confirm the tooth complement at time of order.
  • This model is offered only with the two-speed motor.
  • Read the motor chart below against the carrier's measured flow and pressure. The columns are a brush-size capacity by flow rather than a stated flow requirement, so they tell you what the head will cut on your machine rather than what your machine must produce.
  • Rotor speed reads adjustable at every flow because the motor is a variable two-speed unit, so speed and torque are set to the material rather than fixed at order.
  • Couplers are not included with this model, so confirm the face with the supplier at time of order.
