The PC3000 is a tamping rammer delivering 3,080 lbf of compaction force through an 11 x 12 in shoe at a 2.8 in jumping stroke. A Honda GX120 with a diaphragm carburetor drives it, a step up in engine from most rammers in its class.

Shipping & Freight

Delivery is available to the Lower 48 only; no shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territories. Shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000.01 to $10,000: $347
  • Orders $10,000.01 and over: $517

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Liftgate service is required if your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling and extend delivery time.

Lead times vary by product, manufacturer availability, and selected options. Some configured, special-order, or non-stock items require additional processing time before they ship.

Please inspect all freight shipments at delivery before signing. If you see visible damage, note it with the carrier and contact us as soon as possible.

If you need freight, delivery, or lead-time guidance before ordering, contact our team before you purchase.

Compatibility / Fitment

Compatibility varies by product type, machine setup, selected options, and intended application.

For machine-mounted equipment and attachments, buyers should confirm fitment before ordering using the relevant machine information, including model, attachment style, mount type, coupler type, hydraulic requirements, and any other product-specific requirements listed on the page.

Hardscape Heavy can assist with pre-order fitment guidance based on the information you provide. This guidance is limited to purchase and compatibility review before ordering and does not include field installation, hydraulic modification, fabrication, or on-site setup support.

If you are unsure whether a product will work with your machine or application, contact us before placing the order.

Returns & Warranty

Warranty coverage is provided by the product manufacturer where applicable. Warranty terms, coverage periods, exclusions, and claim procedures vary by brand and product type.

Hardscape Heavy does not create separate warranty coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Returns are governed by our store return policy. Because many products in this category involve freight shipping, special ordering, or configuration-specific selections, return eligibility may vary by product and condition. Special-order, custom-configured, used, damaged, or installed items may not be eligible for return.

Please review our full return policy before purchase. If you have questions about return eligibility or manufacturer warranty coverage for a specific item, contact us before ordering.

The PC3000 compacts cohesive and mixed soils in trenches, footings, and around structures, the confined lifts where a plate compactor cannot follow and a rammer earns its place on the truck. It runs the general compaction work that backfilled utility cuts and foundation edges generate every week.

The GX120 engine is the working difference U.S. Saws points to: more engine than the usual rammer in this class, driving a 2.8 inch stroke through an 11 by 12 inch shoe at 3,080 pounds of force. A diaphragm carburetor keeps it running at the angles rammer work involves, dual air filtration keeps trench dust out of the engine, an integrated fuel valve simplifies starting, and the throttle control is built heavy because throttles are what break on rammers. The handle adjusts to the operator. This is for the utility and concrete contractors compacting backfill lifts all day, in holes their plate compactor cannot enter.

Common Applications

  • Compacting trench backfill on utility cuts
  • Compaction in footings and around foundations
  • Cohesive soil compaction in confined excavations

Selection Notes

  • Rammer work is confined-area compaction; open-area lifts run faster under the PC7500 reversible plate
  • The adjustable-height handle sets the machine to the operator, worth setting before the first lift
