The Baumalight TX25 is a 25 kW tractor-driven PTO generator for a tractor of 42 horsepower at full load, the fourth of the five TX models. It is a two-pole, capacitor-regulated, brushless genset on a two-wheel trailer with a 50 amp welder receptacle and a volt meter placed to be read from the tractor seat, offered in twenty cable length, phase configuration and end plug combinations.

The TX25 is a 25 kW generator sized to a tractor of 42 horsepower at full load, the second largest of the TX series, and the tractor sizing is what defines the series: the compact tractor a landscape contractor, a grounds crew or a service trade already owns, rather than the larger machine the KR series asks for. It is built for the crew that wants standby power at a shop or remote power on a jobsite to come off that tractor instead of off a second engine, where the load is more than the small end of the line will carry.

Where the larger KR series runs four windings and electronic regulation, the TX runs a two-pole, brushless genset on two copper windings with capacitor regulation, static to load and self-regulating to speed, holding output within 6 percent. That is a simpler machine with fewer parts to fail, and it is matched to the work: intermittent backup and remote power rather than a long run at rated output. Every TX carries a 50 amp welder receptacle, and the supplier makes the field-repair case for it directly: paired with a portable welder, the generator takes power to a breakdown instead of the breakdown coming to the shop. The DisplayMeter volt meter is positioned to be read from the tractor seat, so PTO speed is set and checked without dismounting, and reset circuit breakers clear a surge without a spare fuse.

Selection Notes

Size the tractor first. The TX25 draws 19 hp at 50 percent load and 42 hp at 100 percent load, and the 100 percent figure governs if the generator will run near its rating.
Wire Length is the run from the generator to the service. The supplier ships the TX25 with a 10 ft cord and prices its cable by the foot for a longer run, offered at 20, 30, 50 and 100 ft beyond the included 10 ft.
Phase Configuration is a cable configuration. The TX25 itself is a 120/240 volt single phase generator, and the supplier's cable for the 18 to 31 kW band is a three-strand #4 cable. Confirm the configuration against the service it will feed before ordering.
End Plug: the supplier ships the TX18 through TX31 with the 175 AMP Anderson connector on the 10 ft cord; the 50 AMP plug is the supplier's E2007 four pole range plug, the plug it ships on the TX7 and TX12. The TX25's full output is 100 A at the main breaker.
The three point hitch deck is an added-cost option in place of the trailer: D001378 for the TX18 through TX31.
The trailer jack, G2107, is a separate part.
