The ISH3P takes a sapling out whole rather than shearing it off. A jaw closes on the stem near the ground, the operator lifts with the loader arms, and the root plate comes up with the tree. The supplier's reason for working this way is regrowth: a stem severed at ground level sends up shoots, and one pulled with its roots does not. Baumalight builds it for two different jobs on the same machine, clearing an entire area or picking out individual troublesome saplings, and both are done from the seat rather than on foot.

The mechanism is one hydraulic cylinder and nothing else. A cross over relief sits on that circuit so the cylinder is protected when an operator holds pressure on a stem that will not move, which is the ordinary case on a root that is holding. Two details separate this model from its smaller sibling once the machine is in the field: a spring mounted strain relief hose holder keeps the hoses out of pinch points without limiting how far the attachment curls forward, and anti-slip material is fitted to the step pads where an operator actually stands to reach it. The attachment ships crated, with the flat face couplers included, which is not true of every Baumalight attachment and is worth checking against a quote that assumes otherwise.

It also ships in a larger crate and weighs 543 lb against the ISH3M's 238 lb. Choose on carrier class first, because the pin and mount go with it, then confirm the stem diameter you actually meet.
