The Baumalight TNS336 is a 300 series trencher on a universal skid steer plate for 2,000 to 5,000 lb skid steers, digging 36 in deep and 4 or 6 in wide by chain choice on a planetary drive, and it takes an optional 3-point hitch adaptor for hydrostatic tractors. It is offered in four chain options with the D001393 adaptor and the S1050 valve kit as add-on rows.

Delivery is available to the Lower 48 only; no shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territories. Shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000.01 to $10,000: $347

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Liftgate service is required if your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling and extend delivery time.

The Baumalight TNS336 is a 300 series trencher on a universal skid steer plate, digging 36 in deep and 4 or 6 in wide behind a compact skid steer or, with the optional 3-point hitch adaptor, a hydrostatic tractor. It is for contractors, trade professionals and rural property owners who need to put cable and lines underground with the machine already on the property.

A planetary drive unit delivers hydraulic power straight to the sprocket of the digging chain, with no roller chain to stretch or jump, and the sealed drive keeps dirt out of the gearing. Spoil is carried out to the side of the trench and kept close for backfilling, the hinged crumb scraper bar sweeps loose material back into the chain at any depth, and the solid steel nose runs on dual tapered roller bearings behind a machined washer, a rubber seal and a grease fitting. This is built for the crews that own one trencher and two carriers, and want it to bolt onto either.

Selection Notes

  • Four chain options are offered, cup tooth or rock and cup tooth, each in 4 in and 6 in widths. The rock and cup chain carries carbide rock teeth on half its holders for rocky ground, and the supplier offers a bullet style tooth for rocky soil on request.
  • The carrier band is 2,000 to 5,000 lb skid steers at 30 to 55 HP and 10 to 20 GPM; on a tractor with the adaptor the charted band is 14 to 22 GPM. The supplier states a maximum carrier weight of 5,000 lb for this model and that its motor displacement is too large for a Bobcat mini skid steer.
  • The D001393 three point hitch adaptor is a CAT 1 bolt-on with a cylinder for angle and depth control. The tractor must have a hydrostatic drive and two hydraulic remotes; the S1050 valve kit serves tractors with one remote and is not included with the adaptor. Both are offered as add-ons at the supplier's own prices, and the S1050 is offered only with the adaptor.
  • The freight weight on each row is the highest of the weights for that row, plus the adaptor and kit weights on the add-on rows.
  • The label on the drive head reads TN336 for this model, while its part numbers read TNS336. Order against the TNS336 part numbers.
