The Baumalight FEB700 is a hydraulic flail mower for universal-mount skid steers, cutting an 88 in path over an 80 in rotor with 42 free-swinging blade clusters in a spiral pattern. It runs on 18 to 35 GPM at up to 4,000 PSI, needs a case drain, and rides on a floating plate with independent linkage so the head follows uneven ground.

Shipping & Freight

Delivery is available to the Lower 48 only; no shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territories. Shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000.01 to $10,000: $347
  • Orders $10,000.01 and over: $517

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Liftgate service is required if your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling and extend delivery time.

Lead times vary by product, manufacturer availability, and selected options. Some configured, special-order, or non-stock items require additional processing time before they ship.

Please inspect all freight shipments at delivery before signing. If you see visible damage, note it with the carrier and contact us as soon as possible.

If you need freight, delivery, or lead-time guidance before ordering, contact our team before you purchase.

Compatibility / Fitment

Compatibility varies by product type, machine setup, selected options, and intended application.

For machine-mounted equipment and attachments, buyers should confirm fitment before ordering using the relevant machine information, including model, attachment style, mount type, coupler type, hydraulic requirements, and any other product-specific requirements listed on the page.

Hardscape Heavy can assist with pre-order fitment guidance based on the information you provide. This guidance is limited to purchase and compatibility review before ordering and does not include field installation, hydraulic modification, fabrication, or on-site setup support.

If you are unsure whether a product will work with your machine or application, contact us before placing the order.

Returns & Warranty

Warranty coverage is provided by the product manufacturer where applicable. Warranty terms, coverage periods, exclusions, and claim procedures vary by brand and product type.

Hardscape Heavy does not create separate warranty coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Returns are governed by our store return policy. Because many products in this category involve freight shipping, special ordering, or configuration-specific selections, return eligibility may vary by product and condition. Special-order, custom-configured, used, damaged, or installed items may not be eligible for return.

Please review our full return policy before purchase. If you have questions about return eligibility or manufacturer warranty coverage for a specific item, contact us before ordering.

The FEB700 mows and mulches grass, weeds, light brush and small trees from a skid steer or compact track loader, taking an 88 in path over an 80 in rotor. It is a machine for municipal and commercial grounds crews, right-of-way and verge contractors, and sitework crews working ground that hides rock and debris, where free-swinging knives give way on impact instead of taking it on a rigid edge.

The build is organised around keeping material moving and the operator seeing it. A large back discharge feeds material evenly through the machine rather than packing it against the rotor, and the low profile body holds forward visibility as material enters, so nothing disappears into a blind spot at the moment it matters. The floating skidsteer plate and independent linkage let the head glide over uneven surfaces instead of scalping the high spots and skipping the low ones, integrated skid shoes carry the wear where the machine meets the ground, and the fixed roller bar holds one height once it is set while keeping the knives up off the rock. Two things decide whether it will run on a given carrier and both are worth settling before the order goes in: it needs a case drain, which the supplier ships as a line with a vent to atmosphere relief valve, and it arrives with hoses but without couplers.

Common Applications

  • Pasture, verge and field-edge mowing from a skid steer
  • Cutting grass, weeds and light brush in one pass
  • Municipal and commercial grounds maintenance
  • Right of way and trail mowing where a mulcher is more head than the job needs

Selection Notes

  • The FEB700 needs a case drain. The supplier states it as a requirement for smooth operation, not a preference, and ships the machine with a case drain line and a vent to atmosphere relief valve.
  • Hoses are supplied and couplers are not, so the coupler face is matched to the carrier at order time.
  • The flow band for this model is 18 to 35 GPM with a 4,000 PSI maximum. Baumalight's flow and pressure database covers over a thousand carrier models, and is where to check a specific machine.
  • The unit weight is 1,091 lb. The supplier bills freight on a separate 1,347 lb figure for this part number.
  • Cut height is set by tilting the skid steer plate while the head pivots on the roller bar. The roller bar itself is fixed, so the height holds once it is set.
  • The rotor runs on a belt with an adjustable tensioner, tightened by loosening the bolts and raising the motor mount, with no separate idler wheel to wear out.
  • The knives swing back on impact rather than resisting it, which is the reason to choose a flail over a fixed-tooth mulcher in stony or littered ground.
