The HBC-Series are handheld electro-hydraulic rebar cutters that shear bar on the deck instead of sending it to a torch or a saw. Both run on 115 V single-phase site power and cut Grade 40, 50 and 60 bar in one stroke: the HBC19B takes 3/4 in bar in 2.5 seconds, the HBC25B takes 1 in bar in 3.5 seconds.

Shipping & Freight

For an order containing products from a single brand, shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000 to $10,000: $347
  • Orders $10,000 and over: $517

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Ordering from more than one brand? Multi-brand orders ship on separate freight and are quoted individually rather than at the flat rate above. Place your order or contact us first and we will confirm total freight before anything is finalized.

Liftgate service is not included in these rates. If your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight from the truck, liftgate service is required and will be added to your shipping charge. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling.

Lead times vary by product, manufacturer availability, and selected options. Some configured, special-order, or non-stock items require additional processing time before they ship.

Please inspect all freight shipments at delivery before signing. If you see visible damage, note it with the carrier and contact us as soon as possible.

If you need freight, delivery, or lead-time guidance before ordering, contact our team before you purchase.

Compatibility / Fitment

Compatibility varies by product type, machine setup, selected options, and intended application.

For machine-mounted equipment and attachments, buyers should confirm fitment before ordering using the relevant machine information, including model, attachment style, mount type, coupler type, hydraulic requirements, and any other product-specific requirements listed on the page.

Hardscape Heavy can assist with pre-order fitment guidance based on the information you provide. This guidance is limited to purchase and compatibility review before ordering and does not include field installation, hydraulic modification, fabrication, or on-site setup support.

If you are unsure whether a product will work with your machine or application, contact us before placing the order.

Returns & Warranty

Warranty coverage is provided by the product manufacturer where applicable. Warranty terms, coverage periods, exclusions, and claim procedures vary by brand and product type.

Hardscape Heavy does not create separate warranty coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Returns are governed by our store return policy. Because many products in this category involve freight shipping, special ordering, or configuration-specific selections, return eligibility may vary by product and condition. Special-order, custom-configured, used, damaged, or installed items may not be eligible for return.

Please review our full return policy before purchase. If you have questions about return eligibility or manufacturer warranty coverage for a specific item, contact us before ordering.

Cutting reinforcing bar on a deck is normally the slowest job on the pour, and the tools that do it are either loud, hot, or both. These two cutters put a hydraulic ram behind a pair of heat-treated steel blades and drive it off ordinary 115 V site power, so a rebar cut happens where the bar is rather than at a saw station somewhere else on the job. The operator picks the machine by bar size: the HBC19B tops out at No. 6, the HBC25B at No. 8.

An electric motor turns a hydraulic pump, and that pump drives the ram through the bar in one stroke rather than grinding through it. The pump runs a magnetic particle filter so the metal the cut generates does not circulate back through the hydraulics, and each blade can be rotated in its seat to bring a fresh edge into play, which is what keeps a set of blades in service across a job instead of across a day. This is built for the rebar crews and the concrete contractors who cut bar every day on slabs, walls and bridge decks, not for the shop that reaches for a cutter twice a year.

Common Applications

  • Cutting reinforcing bar to length on slab and deck work
  • Cutting bar on masonry wall reinforcement
  • Cutting bar on bridge and large building work where a torch is not wanted
  • Trimming protruding bar after a placement

Selection Notes

  • Choose the HBC19B where the heaviest bar on the job is No. 6, and the HBC25B where No. 8 has to be cut; the HBC25B is the faster machine to own if bar size ever moves up, and the slower one to carry at 48.5 lb against 28.2 lb
  • Both machines cut Grade 40, 50 and 60 at their rated bar size, so grade does not narrow the choice, only diameter does
  • Both are single-phase 115 V machines, so neither needs a generator beyond ordinary site power
