Shipping & Freight

Delivery is available to the Lower 48 only; no shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territories. Shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000.01 to $10,000: $347
  • Orders $10,000.01 and over: $517

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Liftgate service is required if your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling and extend delivery time.

Lead times vary by product, manufacturer availability, and selected options. Some configured, special-order, or non-stock items require additional processing time before they ship.

Please inspect all freight shipments at delivery before signing. If you see visible damage, note it with the carrier and contact us as soon as possible.

If you need freight, delivery, or lead-time guidance before ordering, contact our team before you purchase.

Compatibility / Fitment

Compatibility varies by product type, machine setup, selected options, and intended application.

For machine-mounted equipment and attachments, buyers should confirm fitment before ordering using the relevant machine information, including model, attachment style, mount type, coupler type, hydraulic requirements, and any other product-specific requirements listed on the page.

Hardscape Heavy can assist with pre-order fitment guidance based on the information you provide. This guidance is limited to purchase and compatibility review before ordering and does not include field installation, hydraulic modification, fabrication, or on-site setup support.

If you are unsure whether a product will work with your machine or application, contact us before placing the order.

Returns & Warranty

Warranty coverage is provided by the product manufacturer where applicable. Warranty terms, coverage periods, exclusions, and claim procedures vary by brand and product type.

Hardscape Heavy does not create separate warranty coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Returns are governed by our store return policy. Because many products in this category involve freight shipping, special ordering, or configuration-specific selections, return eligibility may vary by product and condition. Special-order, custom-configured, used, damaged, or installed items may not be eligible for return.

Please review our full return policy before purchase. If you have questions about return eligibility or manufacturer warranty coverage for a specific item, contact us before ordering.

The MS1160 is the 1100 series head, and it is built around a different cutting idea from the rest of the line. The rotor is 19.3 in across and carries only 31 tools, all of them sharpenable planer teeth, turning inside performance boosting mulcher rings licensed from Denis Cimaf. Fewer, larger, sharpenable tools on a bigger drum is what lets an average skid steer take down material well above what a fixed carbide head of the same width would manage. It also cuts deeper than anything else in this group, from 1.125 in above grade to 2.375 in below, which is the range that takes a stump down rather than around.

The tooling is the part worth thinking about before ordering, because it changes what the machine costs to run. These teeth are sharpened rather than thrown away, so a worn rotor goes back to work after a sharpening session instead of after a parts order. When the planer set is eventually spent, carbide ripper teeth fit the same holders and are bought separately, which is the tooth to move to for work with heavy ground contact. The frame is T1 alloy tool steel and is angled to roll back so the head engages a standing tree fully, the belt tensioner adjusts without an idler wheel that could wear out, and the rotor sits close to the carrier to keep the weight where a mid-size machine can hold it. One of the five motor options is a variable two-speed, which trades a fixed rotor speed for the ability to match speed and torque to what is in front of the head.

Common Applications

  • Land clearing where material size exceeds a fixed carbide head
  • Stump and root collar cutting below grade
  • Site reclamation on average size skid steers
  • Vegetation management with sharpenable tooling

Selection Notes

  • Match the head to the carrier by weight first: this model is charted against a minimum carrier weight of 7,000 lb.
  • Case drain is critical on this model and on every one of the five motor options, at every rated pressure. Confirm the carrier has a case drain line before ordering, or have one field installed.
  • Five motor options are offered. Four are bent axis piston motors charted against narrow flow bands; D117X2 is a variable two-speed motor charted across a much wider band, so its brush capacity depends heavily on the flow the carrier actually delivers.
  • The head ships with sharpenable P11000 planer teeth. R9000 carbide ripper teeth are bought separately and fitted once the planer set is worn, for work with heavy ground contact.
  • Hydraulic couplers are not supplied with this model and are ordered separately against the carrier, because the coupler face varies too widely.
  • Choose the motor option against the carrier's measured flow and pressure.
