The Multiquip MVH-Series reversible plate compactors deliver high-production compaction of granular soils, gravel, and mixed fill on deeper lifts. The lineup runs from a 4.8 HP Honda gasoline machine to a 14 HP Hatz diesel across nine models, every one of them reversible under operator control.

Shipping & Freight

For an order containing products from a single brand, shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000 to $10,000: $347
  • Orders $10,000 and over: $517

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Ordering from more than one brand? Multi-brand orders ship on separate freight and are quoted individually rather than at the flat rate above. Place your order or contact us first and we will confirm total freight before anything is finalized.

Liftgate service is not included in these rates. If your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight from the truck, liftgate service is required and will be added to your shipping charge. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling.

Lead times vary by product, manufacturer availability, and selected options. Some configured, special-order, or non-stock items require additional processing time before they ship.

Please inspect all freight shipments at delivery before signing. If you see visible damage, note it with the carrier and contact us as soon as possible.

The Multiquip MVH-Series plate compactors are reversible plate compactors for high-production compaction of granular soils, gravel, and mixed fill on deeper lifts. Each model travels forward and in reverse under operator control, so crews can compact into a trench, hold on the spot, and back the machine out without turning it around.

A twin-shaft exciter reverses plate direction and delivers deep compaction force for base and backfill, and the lineup steps up from a 15.8 in gasoline machine to 20 in high-output diesel units for the heaviest fill. Every model carries a fold-out front cover for maintenance access, heavy duty shock mounts, and a steel frame protective guard that doubles as a lifting bar. This is built for the sitework and utility crews compacting structural fill and trench backfill on larger jobs, not thin surface lifts.

Selection Notes

  • Nine models are offered. The 128GH, 158GH, 208GH, 308GH, 408GH, and 508GH run Honda gasoline engines; the 308DE, 408DE, and 508DE are Hatz diesel.
  • The 408DE, 508GH, and 508DE are electric-start machines and their starting battery is not included.
  • Plate extensions widen the working plate on the 308, 408, and 508. The published with-extensions widths sit 6 in above the base widths on every one of those six machines. Whether the 6 in set ships with the machine or is ordered separately is recorded as unresolved in this file and is confirmed at time of order.
  • A tool-free wheel kit is offered for the 128GH and the 158GH, named by the supplier as model WHL158. It is not stocked as a variant here and is confirmed at time of order.
  • The Compas compaction analyzing system is offered on electric-start models only, and the supplier maps it to four machines: the 308DE, the 408DE, the 508GH, and the 508DE. It is not stocked as a variant here and is confirmed at time of order.
