The Eterra Auger Stump Planer turns an auger drive into a stump removal tool. It fits a 2 inch hex output, carries three replaceable and re-sharpenable cutting edges, and its starter tip enables an 18 inch digging depth. Two sizes are offered, 10 inch and 14 inch.

Shipping & Freight

Delivery is available to the Lower 48 only; no shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territories. Shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

  • Orders up to $5,000: $279
  • Orders $5,000.01 to $10,000: $347
  • Orders $10,000.01 and over: $517

These rates cover standard freight delivery to a commercial address. After you place your order, our team will confirm your delivery timeline within 1 to 3 business days.

Liftgate service is required if your delivery location has no loading dock or forklift to unload the freight. If you are unsure whether you need it, contact us before ordering.

Commercial delivery locations are preferred when available. Residential delivery, limited-access locations, and appointment scheduling may affect handling and extend delivery time.

Lead times vary by product, manufacturer availability, and selected options. Some configured, special-order, or non-stock items require additional processing time before they ship.

The Eterra Auger Stump Planer is for the job where full stump grinding is not warranted. It mounts to an auger drive with a 2 inch hex output and turns the drive already on the machine into a stump removal tool, which is what saves a crew from outsourcing the work or bringing a second machine to site.

Three cutting edges do the work and all three are replaceable and can be sharpened rather than thrown away. The starter tip is what pushes the planer down through the stump, and Eterra states it is there to prevent overload or jamming as the cut deepens. It enables an 18 inch digging depth.

Guides on the cutter's trailing edge keep the unit steady in the hole. On a tool that is being driven straight down into an uneven stump face, that is what stops it wandering out of the cut.

Eterra names the 3500 and 4500 drive models as compatible, along with any unit that meets the torque requirement. It also states its own adapters are available where the output shaft does not match, so a drive with the torque but the wrong shaft is not ruled out.
