The Baumalight MP360 is a 300 Series fixed-tooth mulcher for three-point hitch tractors, with a 72 in path and a 60 in rotor carrying 74 high speed teeth. It weighs 1,200 lb, runs from a 540 rpm power take-off on a CAT 1 hitch, and is sized for tractors from 30 to 55 engine horsepower.

Delivery is available to the Lower 48 only; no shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or other US territories. Shipping is a flat rate based on your order total:

The MP360 is the widest head in Baumalight's 300 Series, the lightest fixed-tooth mulcher line the manufacturer builds for three-point hitch tractors. It takes heavy vegetation and light brush behind a mid-size tractor, clearing a swath wider than its own rotor so a fence line or a trail closes in fewer passes and less of the day goes into turning around.

Cutting is done by round carbide-tipped teeth with a concave face, which chip woody material bit by bit rather than tearing at it. Baumalight builds those teeth as three teeth in one: loosen the lock nut, turn the tooth to a fresh edge, tighten, and go back into the brush, which takes seconds and can be done three times before a tooth is spent. Drive is mechanical, straight off the tractor's power take-off, which the manufacturer calls the most efficient way to run a brush mulcher, and a slip clutch sits between the driveline and the gearbox to give way when the rotor stalls. Ground speed is what decides how much this head will take, and the manufacturer is explicit about the relationship: the slower the tractor travels, the bigger the material the rotor handles.

Selection Notes

  • Match the mulcher to the tractor by power first: 30 to 55 engine horsepower and a maximum of 45 at the power take-off carry this model.
  • The hitch is CAT 1 and quick hitch compatible, the same class as the smaller 300 Series heads, so it hangs on a tractor already set up for them.
  • Drive is mechanical from a 540 rpm power take-off, with a 1-3/8 in spline at both the gearbox and the tractor end.
  • A slip clutch protects the driveline, and it is the only system protection this model carries.
  • Teeth are the H3000 high speed pattern and each one turns to three fresh edges before it is replaced, so a dulled rotor is rotated in the field rather than restocked.
  • Work the head at low ground speed. Brush capacity is charted against travel speed rather than as one maximum diameter, and the slower the pass the larger the material the rotor will take.
  • Drive comes off the tractor rather than a pressurised circuit, so carrier flow and pressure figures do not apply to this model.
  • Six replacement teeth matching the fitted tooth option come with every Baumalight brush mulcher, and a D004978 24-pack of H3000 teeth can be added at purchase.
