Shipping & Freight

We ship to the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, military (APO/FPO/DPO) addresses or outside the United States.

Smaller items ship by parcel carrier, priced by weight. Larger items and heavy equipment ship by LTL freight, priced by your ZIP code and the delivery type you choose: terminal pickup and dock delivery cost the least, and commercial liftgate, residential liftgate and jobsite delivery each add the carrier’s fee. Your shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay.

The best way to get a shipping quote or ask a freight question is the Get a Freight Quote button on this page. You can also call (805) 398-6165.

Delivery types, delivery times, terminal pickup, liftgate service and damage inspection are covered in our Shipping Policy.

Compatibility / Fitment

Compatibility varies by product type, machine setup, selected options, and intended application.

For machine-mounted equipment and attachments, buyers should confirm fitment before ordering using the relevant machine information, including model, attachment style, mount type, coupler type, hydraulic requirements, and any other product-specific requirements listed on the page.

Hardscape Heavy can assist with pre-order fitment guidance based on the information you provide. This guidance is limited to purchase and compatibility review before ordering and does not include field installation, hydraulic modification, fabrication, or on-site setup support.

If you are unsure whether a product will work with your machine or application, contact us before placing the order.

Hardscape Heavy does not create separate warranty coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty unless explicitly stated on the product page.

Please review our full return policy before purchase. If you have questions about return eligibility or manufacturer warranty coverage for a specific item, contact us before ordering.

The middle size in Essick's steel-drum range is where most masonry crews land, because it takes a batch measured in whole bags rather than half ones and still tows behind a pickup. The engine sits mounted solid to the base rather than on isolators, which Essick specifies to hold vibration down, and an idler wheel handles paddle engagement so the drum comes under load positively instead of shocking the belt. Three drives are offered against one machine.

Material goes in through a heavy-duty safety grate with a bag cutter built into it, so a bag is opened and screened in the same motion instead of being slit on the drum lip and dumped whole. The engine cover is punched for ventilation, and the drum, frame and paint are specified for a machine that lives outdoors and gets hosed down at the end of a shift. This is built for the masonry and plastering crews running continuous batches on a commercial job, not for the occasional patch.

Common Applications

  • Mixing mortar for masonry, block and brick work
  • Mixing plaster and stucco on commercial jobs
  • Mixing grout and structural mixes at crew scale
  • Continuous batch work where material is discharged straight to tubs or barrows

Selection Notes

  • Choose the electric build where site power is available and engine exhaust is unwanted, and an engine build where the machine works away from a supply
  • The 9 HP MPower build is the lowest-priced of the three, with the Honda and Baldor builds within two dollars of each other, so drive choice here is about fuel and supply rather than budget
  • Drop to the EM70-Series for 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 bag batches or step up to the 12 cu ft machines for 3-1/2 to 4; drum size is the only axis that separates them
